Bart is a hardcore team-roping cowboy who wins buckles and saddles. He also clips into a road bike and wins races, and he walked into his first bodybuilding competition and took the overall trophy.
He is also the man high-profile founders hire to style them before they walk on stage in front of thousands. Four arenas, four different men if you had only seen him in one.
The authors came to see that he was not changing hobbies. He was changing who showed up, and he could do it on purpose. That observation is where this book started.
Sunny
She scrubbed her way into every room
Sunny cleaned her flute teacher's house to pay for lessons: floors, bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting. Nobody was handing her a room.
Then came the college audition that could have changed everything. She was good enough, and a scholarship was turned down anyway. The reason was not the music. She was playing a $150 student flute, and the role, she was told, demanded a better instrument.
She decided the answer was more skill and more polish, and it did not work. That question, what actually decides who gets seen, became her obsession, and she is the framework architect behind the method.
